Making our mark at 2024 Australian ICMJ Conferences

The 2024 Australian Intercollegiate Meat Judging (ICMJ) Northern and National Conferences were standout showcases of NH Foods’ commitment to the future of the beef industry. As a long-time supporter of ICMJ, we embraced the opportunity to connect, educate, and celebrate across two events—from Rockhampton (Queensland) in April to Wagga Wagga (New South Wales) in July.

NH Foods proudly participated as a Major Partner, as well as entering our inaugural meat judging team, sponsoring Marcus Oldham College and Charles Sturt University teams, and spotlighting two of our premium brands: Nature’s Fresh Natural Beef and Omugi Beef.

At the Northern Conference in Rockhampton, we were thrilled to sponsor the Friday night dinner at the iconic Great Western Hotel, where guests enjoyed dishes featuring Nature’s Fresh Natural Beef. Our first-ever judging team—Brianna Meacle, Ed Chapman, Kiralee Melinz, and Jazmin Madden— performed exceptionally under the guidance of coach Jonty Hemmingway, with Brianna earning Individual Industry Winner and the team securing Runner-Up in the Northern Champion Meat Judging competition.

At the National Conference in Wagga Wagga, we delighted guests with a dish at the Wagga RSL: Omugi Beef Daube of Beef Oyster Blade Provençal Style, created by our brand partner Chef Jason Roberts.

Beyond the dining experiences, NH Foods engaged with passionate ICMJ attendees and industry leaders at the Career Expos in both Rockhampton and Wagga Wagga.
