Founding

Yoshinori Okoso founded the Tokushima Meat Processing Plant in Tokushima-shi, Japan, marking the humble beginnings of NH Foods.

1963
August 1963
Merger

Merged with Torise Ham Co. Ltd, rebranded as Nippon Meat Packers Inc., and moved the headquarters to Osaka-shi, Japan, with a capitalisation of 703.2 million yen.

Expansion

After expanding into the USA in 1977, Nippon Meat Packers Australia Pty Ltd was established in Sydney, reinforcing our global presence in the beef industry.

Aquisition

Acquired Oakey Abattoir Pty Ltd, now known as Oakey Beef Exports Pty Ltd, one of our premier processing facilities.

Revolutionised beef production with the purchase of Whyalla Beef feedlot, creating an integrated system from production to marketing of fresh beef overseas.
