Beef Australia 2024 – Celebrating Australian Beef

Posted May 2024

In May 2024, NH Foods was a proud Supporting Partner of Beef Australia 2024 in Rockhampton (Queensland), a world-class event celebrating the innovation and passion driving the Australian beef industry. This week-long exhibition was the perfect opportunity to connect with producers, customers, and international stakeholders, all while sharing the joy of eating.

Our marquee became a bustling hub, showcasing our brands – Angus Reserve, Manning Valley Naturally, and Omugi– as well as welcoming visitors excited to learn more about NH Foods.

Daily Sundowners hosted at our marquee provided an opportunity to bring together everyone from cattle producers to industry stakeholders to relax, connect, and share meaningful industry insights. Held Monday to Thursday, these relaxed evening gatherings featured menu items created and prepared by our brand partner Chef Jason Roberts, who was also on hand to meet with guests. Highlights from the menu included:

  • Braised Angus Reserve Black Angus Beef Oyster Blade with Casarecce, Crème Fraîche, Rocket, and Toasted Breadcrumbs
  • Grilled Nature’s Fresh Natural Beef Flank Steak with Salsa Verde
  • Beer-Braised Omugi Grainfed Beef Hammer Shanks with Soft Polenta

And the menu hits didn’t stop there! Jason created a spectacular menu for our marquee, including for a Meet the Chef Monday lunch featuring:

  • Honey & Soy Braised Glenyarra Pastures Short Rib
  • Scuffed Omugi Beef Striploin

We also had the privilege of participating in Career Chats with local school students, hosting 30-minute sessions focused on some of our teams’ personal career journeys, career pathways and opportunities in agriculture.

Adding to the buzz, Whyalla Beef feedlot General Manager Tony Fitzgerald made an appearance on Beef TV to discuss our feedlot expansion and branded beef programs.

We’re proud to have been part of this incredible event and look forward to what’s next for the Australian beef industry.
