What is the opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Stockyards General Labourer to join our team at Wingham Beef Exports, ideally the successful candidate will be genuinely interested in working with cattle and motivated to build a career in the industry. This is a fulltime position, but you will need to be willing and able to work flexible hours.

You will be required to assist in following our daily kill schedule while prioritising animal welfare and maintaining quality standards. Your duties will include feeding cattle, ensuring clean stockyards, implementing Low-Stress Handling techniques to uphold high animal welfare standards, and managing livestock truck arrivals, including paperwork and communication with truck drivers and producers.

What skills are we looking for?

• Possess a good work ethic, with the ability to work within a small team
• Strong understanding of Animal Welfare Standards
• Proven focus for ensuring Health and Safety

What experience are we looking for?

• Previous experience working in stockyards.
• Experience in handling livestock is essential.
• Animal Welfare accreditation (or willing to undergo training)
