What is the opportunity?  

We are currently seeking qualified Accountant for our modern Export Red Meat Processing Plant. This role will be a part of a team who provide support to the business in making critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances to ensure the financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Position Accountabilities 

• Assisting with completion of month end closing procedures and daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Conducting reconciliations of accounts and identifying discrepancies.
• Reconciling company credit cards and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Assisting in managing banking activities and credit control.
• Assisting in the internal and external audit process.
• Work closely with the finance manager to provide quality management reporting and commercial solutions.
• Monthly GST preparation and assist with the preparation of other tax compliance reporting/documentation.
• Managing fixed asset register – fixed asset, WIP, low value pool, R&M expenditure.

What skill are we looking for?

• Good computer skills across Microsoft office suite and systems such as Oracle
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate integrity and positive attitude to work.

What experience are we looking for?

• ERO (Oracle) experience is highly desirable
• Experience in manufacturing sectors within the Agricultural industry
• Previous experience in a food processing facility would be an advantage
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or related field
